TAI Collective

Our Projects

Three flagship programs, each built to fill a gap.

TAI Collective was founded to do the work no single Taiwanese American had the capacity to launch alone. These are our first three.

PROGRAM 01

Formosa Retold

History & Media

A project dedicated to making Taiwanese history accessible. We want to build interactive online media, books, and other formats that meet people where they are. Whether you're a student who has never had a textbook that mentioned Taiwan or an adult rediscovering a history you were never taught, there is always something to learn!

PROGRAM 02

TAI Language Lab

Language Revitalization

A heritage language program for Tâi-gí (Taiwanese Hokkien), built for diaspora learners. Some of our later generations grew up hearing the language at home but never learned to speak it themselves. Others have never been exposed to it. We want to provide a meaningful way to connect with our grandparents and parents, bridging the language barrier to better understand our culture and roots.

PROGRAM 03

The Firefly Route

Traveling Museum

A traveling museum that brings specific, well-chosen pieces of Taiwanese history and culture directly into public places: libraries, festivals, campuses, and community centers. By partnering with local organizations, we seek to engage with the broader public to introduce Taiwan meaningfully. Boba and semiconductors only scratch the surface of all that Taiwan has to offer.

Every one of these programs runs on community support.
